Tips for bike trips on the Arlberg

Through woods and fields

Every pedal stroke takes you further through nature. You can joyously mountain-bike along countless forest paths and single trails and cycle to beautiful lakes such as Formarinsee or Spullersee. Or how about a lap around the Karhorn? Almost 28 kilometres. A few single trail stages round off this excellent circular route.

Adventure bike trail

Brave enough for the descent on the Burgwald bike trail? Three different levels – from easy to extreme – make the decision easier. On with your helmet before tackling the adventure trail on the Arlberg. And have fun on the spectacular downhill route.

You can hire the right enduro and freeride bikes directly at the cable car. Once down in the valley, you can take the gondola back up to Oberlech.

It has it all

Short but hard. The route to the 2,000 metre high Kriegersattel seems easy at just under 13 kilometres. But even the ascent will take it out of you with several steep sections boasting gradients of up to 24 percent. At the top, the fantastic view of the Arlberg region around Lech and the nature reserve is a delight. After a refreshment break in the Kriegeralpe, it’s down to the Zuger Tobel with a gradient of up to 25 percent and on to Lech via Zug. Still enough in the tank for the ascent to Oberlech?
