We passionately tend 4,500 labels. Top wines from Austria and all over the world. Connoisseurs know that we have one of the best wine cellars in western Austria.

We have selected around 1,500 wines for the Burg wine list.

Respect for every drop

We give the wines in our cellar at least as much time as they need – and we make sure we don’t serve any of them too early. In keeping with the respect for the product.

True wine connoisseurs

Every wine has its secret. As wine connoisseurs, we want to unveil all of them. Christian Lucian already completed his training as a young sommelier by the age of 16. With his father Gerhard Lucian, also a sommelier, he looks after the wine cellar and is a treasure hunter for the best wines.

They have allies. Hermann Lankmaier, Claudia Fath and Christoph Viehauser are the other sommeliers at the Burg. Wine expertise in the restaurant? Gladly. With our expertise, we recommend the right wines for you – matched to your menu if you wish.

Exclusive Burg Cuvée

In 2006, winemakers Heribert Beyer and Gerhard Lucian created the first Burg Cuvée. Since then, it has become an honourable tradition in the house. The main ingredient is the Blaufränkisch grape. However, the assemblage of each Burg Cuvée differs.

The wine matures untouched in the cellar until it is ready for tasting. Only when the flavour has matured perfectly do we reveal its bouquet in the glass.
