For us, people aren’t numbers. We value our guests highly and know many by name. Some have been coming to us for generations with family and friends. From roof tiles to Duroc pigs: while the first generation mainly worked on construction, the second generation concentrated on culinary arts. Elisabeth and Gerhard Lucian focus on the highest quality food. Today we bake bread in our own bakery and even have our own pig farm.
One of the original themes of the Burg was to look into alternative energy sources. Grandfather Fridolin Lucian was the pioneer here in Oberlech. As early as 1997, he built a biomass plant on his own to generate energy for the family businesses. In 2009, another biomass district heating plant was built, which today supplies many of the houses in Oberlech.
