ON WHITE PATHS

The snow-covered mountain landscape around Lech Zürs offers over 40 kilometers of prepared winter hiking trails: along the frozen Lech stream, through white winter forests, over flat paths and steep mountain slopes. The best thing about it? All tour tips start right outside the Burg.

UP INTO THE VALLEY

Of course, you can always take the Lech-Oberlech cable car down into the valley. However, if you want to do something active outside, you can also take a wonderful walk to Lech in winter. The signposted winter hiking trail starts right outside the Burg doors and leads you through the snow-covered Burgwald towards Lech. Below the Schlosskopfbahn, you hike back uphill to Oberlech.

Tip: The route can be adapted as you wish. Take the cable car back to the sun terrace or would you prefer to start in the valley? No problem with the Lech-Oberlech cable car.


ZUG – ÄLPELE

Sparkling blankets of snow as far as the eye can see? Listening to the silence of the snow-covered winter forests? The soft crunching under the soles of your shoes? We recommend a romantic winter walk from Zug to Älpele. This tour promises peace and quiet away from the bustle. Start on foot or take the Lech-Oberlech cable car into the valley. From here, the blue local bus will take you to Zug.

Tip:If you prefer to walk a little longer, you can also walk along the frozen Lech stream to Zug.

OFF TO THE "SMALL BURG"

With or without skis - a stop at our Kriegeralpe is a must in winter. Our “little Burg” on the mountain looks like a gingerbread house covered in icing. Past the SkySpace and the snow-covered Gipslöchern, the somewhat more challenging hiking trail leads you uphill to your destination. A "Weiße Witwe" and the best Kaiserschmarrn in Oberlech will give you strength for the descent.

HIGH UP TO THE RÜFIKOPF

Take the Rüfikopf cable car up to an altitude of 2362 meters to what is probably the highest winter hiking trail in Lech Zürs. Various stations inform young and old about the white crystal flakes and the adverse living conditions on the mountain. Fantastic summit views with numerous seating areas await you on the sunny plateau on the Rüfikopf.

Tip: The Snowflake Panorama Trail can be hiked as a short or long loop.
